And coaches in their head sets and the crowd all in white, Had just settled in, ready to welcome the night. When out on the field there arose such a clatter, The crowd sprang from their seats to see what was the matter. Away to the field house every eye flew, To see the Bucs take the field, oh my what a view!
The stands were packed with no empty rows, While the cheerleaders were all dressed in their skirts and their bows.
The clock was all set, ready to tick, Such a brief moment and there goes the kick! More rapid than eagles the Bucs defense came, Soon Barbe had their first possession of the game! Hear the crowd roar! To the top of the stands!
As the full moon shone high in the night sky, West Monroe fans began their rally cry.

So louder and louder the Barbe fans would cheer, With belief that our dreams of advancing soon would be near. And then, in a twinkling, the game took a turn this game would be no picnic as we all would learn.
The offense and defense both played with all heart , With every player knowing he played an important part. The first half was over, both teams working hard, Every man was playing his best from the safety to guard. The band took the field, fans enjoying the break, For everyone wondered what it was going to take.
The second half was on, the Bucs got the ball, Barbe was fired up, the offense stood tall!
The defense would soon get their shot at West Monroe, As the clock kept on ticking, soon we would know. The fourth quarter came with the crowd on their feet, Neither team would give up or concede defeat.
The air was cold, but no one seemed affected, Within the next few minutes Barbe would hopefully be respected!
It went down to the wire, not a soul could sit down, No one had ever heard so much noise in this town! The last play of the game, the crowd became hushed, For everyone knew one teams dreams were about to be crushed. The last whistle blew, the game clock showed zero, One side cheered wildly because they were the hero!
